Big Things Happening in Boulder

This summer, we welcomed three new churches to our Church Partnership Network — all from Boulder! First Presbyterian Church of Boulder, The Well and All Souls Church of Boulder are now part this community of 17 churches on the Front Range committed to holistic all-life discipleship and a robust view of Christian mission that touches every part of our culture.

Matt Patrick, lead pastor at The Well, says, “Partnering with the Denver Institute for Faith & Work was a no brainer for us. To see Boulder transformed by the power of the gospel will require every member of our church to have a renewed vision for work. A vision where people see their work and faith integrated, not separate.”

Will Forsythe, pastor of All Souls Church of Boulder, says of the partnership, “All Souls Church of Boulder longs to be a church community that is integrating our life in Christ, with community, for our city; so our partnership with DIFW is going to create a new space and conversation that will allow people to connect life in Christ with their life at work for the flourishing of city and world. We would love to see people empowered, challenged, and formed as we start dreaming of what this holistic gospel-life may looks like at home, work, community and city.”

Also, now forming in Boulder is a Law Vocation Group. This monthly meeting of attorneys will connect with Christian peers, explore God’s purposes for work and engage contemporary issues in the field.

The group’s leader, Jenna Ellis, is excited to launch this new group. She says, "Boulder's law Vocation Group is starting in October! The group will be reading 'Redeeming Law' by Michael Schutt, which focuses on how to bring a biblical worldview to every area of law practice."

We give thanks to God for expanding our reach and building a vibrant community of professionals eager to serve through the Church Partnership Program and Vocation Groups.
