Technology surrounds nearly every aspect of our lives - at home, at work, and even at play. With the creation of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and quantum computing the world is seeing both cultural and economic change. What does it mean to have a thoughtful mindset when it comes to engaging with new technologies? How can Christian workers be thinking ethically when building them?
Join Denver Institute for Faith & Work at Colorado Conversations, a casual gathering focused on local topics and practical themes that integrate our faith and work. We will hear from 2 tech experts: Christoph Scheidiger, a manager of Applied Science in Big Tech, oversees a team of data scientists who develop algorithms to streamline workforce management. Christoph is passionate about algorithmic decision making under uncertainty at scale, he strives to design algorithms that make more holistic/balanced decisions than traditional systems could. And Nancy Smith is the Director of Corporate Marketing & Communications at Gloo. Nancy has over 20 years of experience working in the areas of content and product design, marketing, communications, and business development. She is a seasoned multimedia communications professional with a passion for bringing forward the authentic transmission inherent in every big idea.
