In this episode, we hear from an expert in the field David Spickard. David is the Founder and President of 11 | Ten Leadership, a leadership development company based in Raleigh, NC, that works with CEOs and their leadership teams in companies with revenues ranging from $1 million to $250 million per year to strengthen their leadership, culture, strategy, and impact.

Highlights

On leadership:

"[When we talk about faithful leadership] we're talking about whole life stewardship where it's not about what you do. It's who you are. It's like putting on a whole new set of lenses where you look at every decision that you make, from parenting, to your marriage, to your other relationships, to the way we lead. It allows us, then, to have a vision for the way that we can steward everything that we have for God's peace and justice."

On world class leadership:

"What we talk about when we talk about being just, is what it means to be world class. World class leaders. If you want to be just, you have to be world class, because you have a whole different view of success. You have to figure out how to be profitable when you're having all these other issues to deal with..."

On living out the full gospel:

"At a heart level, I think one of the main things that a leader needs to take, one of the first steps, is really to understand God's heart for justice and that this is really central to who he is and what he's about, and that then animates the way that we live out the full gospel..."
